They say there's a gryphon, up in that mountain... he's so old, that he's turned as white as the rocks that he lives in, keeping to himself. Of course, amongst us townsfolk, this is merely a legend. Though... sometimes younger gryphons head out there to challenge the White... and surely there must be something up there, since the younglings tell so many stories of the creature there... white as snow but as strong and hard as stone. They say that he seems to practically emmerge from the rock below them...

I have far too many stories rattling around in my brain.

the coloured eagle is magnificant you can see every hair and feather, however I may have put more shading into the white one. It is interesting that you encorporate stories into your drawings. xxx

When venturing into mythical creatures, many tend to deviate from what they are believed to have looked like. As an avid follower of cyrptozoology, I must say that this is not only a technically well executed piece but also accurate in it's depiction of a Gryphon in it's structure and it's surroundings.

I just adore their wings, especually the brown one's, that angle is SOOO hard to draw but you did it perfectly! :3 Great work on the colouring and characters too, and I like the concept of that little story as well ;)
