Oh man, where to begin?
First off, sorry I’ve been so absent lately guys… honestly! But I’ve had good reasons! I was finishing up my degree, and working on some special projects… like, Princess, which I have been working on since last September! This “CardboardOsaurus” was the proof of concept: [link] Nearly a month after I filmed that, I started working on her final look. I doubt anyone remembers these: [link] But here are the first ‘finished’ drawings for her. And here was a WIP video of her when She was nearly completed: [link] In this video, she still had some technical difficulties: [link] However, I did manage to get most of the bugs worked out before Marcon’s Masquerade: [link] (I made the tech bits too.) As it turned out, even though at the time I was a journeyman level participant, I took both Audience’s Choice, and Best In Show at the Marcon Masq, (You can see the other winners and myself here: [link] ) and now, I’m a Master Class costumer *squee!* The poor Judges. I put together a multi-page booklet on how Princess was made for my documentation… Maybe I’ll post some of the pages here sometime. Or, well, in my scraps or something. |

Congratulations! I'm totally suprised by the awesomeness of this suit. So cool. I really love how you've made her but the only thing I can see as being 'wonky' is the black space between the legs. Perhaps you should airbrush that with the designs on the outer-skin?

I love the way she moves and the way her head swivels is so very lizard-like. I think it's a shame her jaws npo longer move, but I can totally understand why you made that decision after putting so much effort into the shape and outer skin and colouring it so nicely.
The whole skit was very well done too, and I can see that the audience really appreciated it

Well, first off I'd like to congratulate you on winning Best In Show, and Audience Choice at the Marcon Masquerade. Way To Go!
And now I'd like to compliment you on how She turned out in the end. At first when I saw this I thought it was a statue, then I became speechless when I found out that it was a costume. It's so outstandingly detailed. Even including technology with it (which I still have to watch some of the videos for it). I am extremely happy for you!

Sadly, the black space between the legs is where my legs are, and I don't want her legs to seem super thick. Give and take, right? Hopefully, if I ever do anything of this size again, I'll be able to fix that.
