My local art gallery has a brand new Inuit art collection, donated by my dad's partner's mom. (that's a bit of a mouthful) She died last year, and had well over a 100 pieces in her own private collection, which can now be enjoyed by anyone. Some of them are unbelievable.
Oh, wow, I so envy you on that... the daytomArt Institute here has one measily little spit of a room for Native american stuff. And there's only... I think two peices of Inuit stuff. That's nifty hon!
::Nods:: Based off of inuit art and the like. I saw a lot of that sort of thing when I was little and visited Arizona... but Vancouver island, huh? Neat stuff. Where I live I can visit indian mounds and such, but I don't see much Native American stuff.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
