Once again, I find myself working late into he night on a new find. It seems, that I have developed such a nocturnal lifestyle that rumors were circulating among the hooligans about me being a vampire. Which, of course, is ludicrous, as was proven when I stepped out into the market at midday. But alas, I digress.
This new find is merely a symbol, of unknown origin. Though a lunar theme is obviously present and I feel that it must be of at least some astronomical significance. But this is far different from the charts that astronomers use, and thus, my suspicions of it having a paranormal edge to its use are urging me to delve further into its analysis. It seems to be derived primarily from the Celtic triskele, which has a plethora of meanings, one of which is a representation for the body, mind, and spirit, one for each spiral. But it also stands for so many other things that it could stand for just about anything. Most of the shapes are simply geometric patterns revolving around three either used three times, or with three sides, it seems. And this is all paired with symbols both familiar and foreign. I believe that the symbols in the triangles not mostly covered by moon circles are of Japanese origin, yet I am unsure of this, nor of their meaning. That center, diamond like symbol in the center however, baffles me. Its similar to the symbol on the cover of the Lycanomicon ( [link] ) and might have been part of a book of werewolves... but I have yet I have yet to find its country of origin.
The only clues I have aside from this is that it was found on the body of a woman who was killed for the suspicion of some bizarre form of lycanthropy... yet, others said the lady was an angel of some sort.
erhaps I will be better able to analyze its secrets in the morning.
::Laughs:: Something different. Look ma, no blatant animalness. So far Ive already heard this piece as being similar to designs from so many things, ranging from a plethora of animes, to dark crystal, to magick circles, circles used for various spiritual usees oi. ::Shakes her head:: Either way, this is a very personal symbol made for myself to use in my own endavours that I may ::Gag:: Redraw. The moon symbols are a touch too large and cover the triangles theyre on nearly completely, which theyre not supposed to. But eh, oh well. The inkings a little ikky too, and for those of you who read kanji, I apologize for butchering your language there. A cookie to whomever knows what they mean.
Amazing what can spawn from a simple triskele.
EDIT: Oh wow, look at the amazinfg work is doing: [link]
翼 = tsubasa. Well there you go, I only know simple baby kanji it has the hane sitting on top of it.
In the end it doesn't matter, not many people will ever read it thankfully
